Gulf Islands Blend Our 'Gulf Islands Blend' Yarn comes in several weights, ranging from 1800 yards per pound to 450 yards per pound. 'Gulf Islands Blend' is a special blend of alpaca, wool and mohair. It comes in several shades of natural brown, grey, off white, or dyed in a variety of rich solid or variegated colours. It has a handspun look and soft hand. The wool adds loft, the alpaca softness and the mohair adds lustre and brilliance to the colours. This beautiful, hand balanced yarn is unique to our mill. 50:50 This yarn is made from 50% wool and 50% mohair. It has a beautiful sheen from the mohair with the warmth of wool. Softspun Our softspun yarn is a bulky weight yarn, 100% wool, which knits up quickly. Great for scarves and bulky-weight sweaters.
