Gulf Islands Blend

Our 'Gulf Islands Blend' Yarn comes in several weights, ranging from 1800 yards per pound to 450 yards per pound. 'Gulf Islands Blend' is a special blend of alpaca, wool and mohair. It comes in several shades of natural brown, grey, off white, or dyed in a variety of rich solid or variegated colours. It has a handspun look and soft hand. The wool adds loft, the alpaca softness and the mohair adds lustre and brilliance to the colours. This beautiful, hand balanced yarn is unique to our mill.

50:50

This yarn is made from 50% wool and 50% mohair. It has a beautiful sheen from the mohair with the warmth of wool.

Softspun

Our softspun yarn is a bulky weight yarn, 100% wool, which knits up quickly. Great for scarves and bulky-weight sweaters.

Our Rovings are available in a wide variety of fibre compostions and natural and dyed colours.  Our Gulf Islands Blend and 50:50 Mohair Wool Blend are popular among spinners.  Drafted rovings are also available.

We offer a 20% discount for orders of $750 or more.

DUVETS & PILLOWS

The duvets and pillows are made with Salt Spring Fibres and handcrafted on the island at the Gulf Islands Spinning Mill.

The mill offers quality alpaca and wool duvets in standard sizes crib through king. We also make custom sized duvets for hard to fit mattresses and pillows.

Our duvets are enclosed in 100% cotton ticking and are sewn using a unique stitch pattern that prevents excessive compaction of the fibre inside.

Each duvet is made to your specifications so there will be a short delay between receipt of your order and the shipping of your finished duvet.

5% GST applies to all orders, 12% HST to orders in BC.
