Yarns - Our 'Island Blend' is a very special custom-made, natural, product that stands out from the mass of commercially produced yarns.
A three-way blend — a well constructed yarn that balances the best characteristics of wool, mohair and alpaca. A mill spun yarn with a handspun feel, it immediately appeals to the eye and to touch.
Incorporates the softness of alpaca with the memory of wool and the strength and lustre of mohair.
Available in a wide range of natural colours or dyed in solid or variegated colours. We can also dye to your specifications on request.
Batts — Our batts are approximately 18in by 48in and weigh from half a pound to one pound. Depending on the use for which they are made, we make batts from any of the major animal fibres.
