Please fill out a separate form for each job lot (A ‘lot’ is defined as a batch of fibre which is to be processed separately from any other batch of fibre, so as to preserve quality or colour and/or because it is to be made into a distinct product.) PROCESSING DESIRED

Carding into 18 X 48 inch batts (includes one picking). Batts are used for felting or the construction of comforters. In preparing exotic batts intended for felting, we prefer to add up to 20% wool for stability. You may supply this yourself, or we will supply (and bill you for) the required amount. Or see below to have us felt your fibre without wool.

Carding into handspinners’ roving (includes one picking). We usually add about 20% wool to mohair rovings, to supply ‘memory’ for the yarn to be spun. That amount does not alter the appearance or feel of the roving.
If you prefer to have your roving made of 100% mohair, please check here:

Felting (of wool, or alpaca, llama or mohair) into 24 X 48 inch sheets. (See note above about adding wool to felting batts.)
If you prefer to have your felts made of 100% exotic fibre, please check here:

Spinning (check one for each order):
for knitting/crochet    for weaving (warp)    for weaving (weft)

We add about 20% wool to mohair yarn, to supply ‘memory’ for the yarn to be spun. That small amount of wool does not alter the appearance or feel of the yarn.

Please attach here a sample of the type of yarn you want: diameter, # of plies, twist, etc.
If you do not have a sample let us know whether you want fine, medium or bulky yarn and the number of plies you would prefer.

If the fibre you sent ought not be spun as that weight of yarn, should we:
Spin it at an appropriate weight?
Return it to you as roving?
Other:__________________________________________________________________________

If your fibre proves unspinnable, should we:
Make it into batts?   Make it into roving?   Make it into felt?
(If no box is checked, we will return it to you and deduct the postage from your deposit)

During drafting, there is usually a small percentage of carded fibre that is rejected. Should we return that fibre to you with your order? Yes  No

We make careful notes on fibre condition as we process. Would you like us to send these notes to you with your order? Yes  No
